Symbiotic Relationship between a Tapeworm and Fish
A symbiotic relationship that occurs within the temperate deciduous forest of Japan is a tapeworm infecting a fish. This is a symbiotic relationship called parasitism. The tapeworm enters the fish though usually something the fish will eat. The fish will then begin to die because the tapeworm will be eating the fish from the inside out. Humans are affected by this cycle in Japan because if you fish is not cooked properly after being infected with the virus, it will then infect the human. This affects 1 in every 10,000 people in Japan because of the amount of raw fish and sushi that is eaten there.
